Students Who Inspire Me

Today, a male student in my homeroom decided to take a bit of a different approach as he led our class in morning devotions. This male student chose to educate the class on the difficult yet important issue of sex trafficking, both nationally and internationally. He shared with us about how he became informed and why he felt it was important; he then played the following song from one of his favorite bands.

Though it may not be my preference for musical style, I was impressed that this genre was discussing such important subject matter.  He then led a discussion, challenged  us in our thinking and in our awareness, and then he led us  in prayer for those who are victims to sex trafficking and also to those who are turning a blind eye.

May I remind you this was a seventeen year old male high school student.

There is hope, dear readers. There is hope.
